Comments
I understand that Maple Ridge Road will remain destroyed with no plans for blacktop restoration. I am wondering what is being done to reduce property taxes due to the subsequent de-valuation of my property. I purposely avoided gravel roads when I purchased due to the dust and vehicle abuse. The blacktop lasted 30+ years since I moved here. No excuse for this destruction. It was better than Boulanger is now. Are you going to destroy that too? I can no longer use my deck without first cleaning my patio furniture. Whoever made this decision has limited common sense.
Thank you Dan for your comments. Jamie Cheney, Director of Transportation will make sure to have it added to our ForeAction Tracking System for staff to evaluate. You can reach Mr. Cheney directly at 613-774-2105 Ext.241, if you would like to have a more in depth conversation.
Maple ridge road is extremely dusty. Unfortunately we cannot put clothes on the clotheslines. Decks, furniture and windows are covered in dust. Will the calcium be applied soon?
Would it be possible for this road to be on the paving list next year? Perhaps this road should have remained as is until it was ready to be paved.
Thank you,
Martha Hutchinson
Hi Martha, Thank you for the comment. Calcium was applied to Maple Ridge Road within the last two weeks, so you should be seeing the benefit of that by now. The 2025 Budget deliberations on road paving project has not begun yet, but thank you for the paving suggestion.
Just wondering if Anne Street in Winchester is on any radar for paving. They have been filling pot holes for 4 years, at least 3-4 times a year. Anne Street and corner of Sesame Street.
Thank you
Hi Colleen, Thank you for the comment. The 2025 Budget deliberations on road paving project has not begun yet, but thank you for the paving suggestion.
Cass and church road potholes are growing daily ..1 is half a foot deep. a repair on Cass has been in need of blacktop for over a year. could the patches be made bigger ?. 4x4 squares to help stop the return of the potholes
I am wondering if another application of calcium will be applied to Maple Ridge Road. There is a lot of dust blowing in the air and ultimately affecting laundry, outdoor furniture etc.
Will grading be taking place also as we have potholes developing? We have tried to fill the potholes with gravel which has been pushed to the edge of the roadside but the stones pop out of the potholes when cars drive over them.
Please let us know when the council meeting takes place regarding paving in 2025 as neighbours would attend as they certainly want to have this road paved. Many are driving toward the east end of the road which remains as tar and chip. They do not like the stone chips and dusty conditions on their vehicles.
Thank you,
Martha Hutchinson Patterson
